Speaking of: Analyzing Life Like a Short Story

Sometimes I like to analyze my life as if it's a short story. Searching for all the metaphors and allegories hiding in a conversation. Keeping an eye out for all the symbolism as I'm grocery shopping or walking on the beach. Digging through memories to trace down all the foreshadowing I missed.

That way, when something doesn't go as I hoped, I can at least look up at the author above, shake my head in awe, and say, "Wow, what excellent writing."
