There's this phrase that always pops into my head whenever I see something at work that I know isn't ideal or could be improved but isn't necessarily urgent to fix and isn't actively causing a problem:
Continuing to do something you consciously know is incorrect or subpar for even a single day longer is at least one day too many.
I am always trying to purge my workspace of things that are "annoying" or "inconvenient" or "a bit of a pain," particularly if they're solvable. All of these mild grievances add up. Whatever the topic is — a miscalculation on a spreadsheet, an inconsistency in the way documents are named, or usage of an outdated document template, for example — if you recognize that something is incorrect, it's important to fix it in a timely matter and not push it off to fix "someday." Scheduling something for "someday" never tends to go well. Continuing to do something you consciously know is incorrect or subpar for even a single day longer is at least one day too many.
