Speaking of: Everyone Has a Boss

Sometimes I forget in the middle of the workday that everyone has a boss.

It's super easy to get a critical comment or message of concern from a coworker and immediately begin wondering why there's a Zeppelin-sized target on your back. And then you remember that, quite honestly, everyone's just trying to do their best to make their boss happy. Nobody has time to cause havoc for the sake of causing havoc. We're all given instructions from higher-ups and go about our day trying to abide by those instructions, and that can lead to some uncomfortable conversations, but it's rarely anything remotely personal. Everyone has a boss. Everyone has someone to try and make happy.

Remembering this gets me through a tough workday sometimes.
