Speaking of: Photography vs Music Production

Now that I've at least reached amateur level with both of these skills, I can honestly say that learning more about music production helps my photography, and learning more about photography helps my music production.

Both music production and photography force you to tell a story as concisely as possible. Both require you to balance highs and lows and mids in the right proportions, regardless of whether you're balancing sound, light, or color. Both require you to build a final product with an eye for cohesion rather than building a collage of stunning individual parts. Both require just enough editing to make the final product feel polished without it feeling fake or inauthentic.

It's a very similar part of the brain controlling both. Economies of scale for me to try and get better at both, I guess.
