Speaking of: The Joy in Saying Goodbye

I'm not great at goodbyes. I'm a pretty sentimental person at my core, and I really value all the relationships I have in my life. So when I have to close the book on one of those relationships, I take it pretty hard.

But there is one thing that always makes me feel better in these situations: I think about how great that person was. How many laughs we had. How much joy they added to my life. And I realize if this person was that great, the odds there are other equally great people in the world that I've yet to meet are pretty high. I just have to find them. In other words, saying goodbye to someone I love just makes me more excited to meet the people I'll love next.

It sounds so simple, but I need those simple reminders sometimes.
